Consumption:

Consumption of finished steel conjointly showed improvements in May and June 2020 over April 2020. Finished steel consumption jumped 304% in May 2020 over April 2020 and continuing to indicate improvement in June 2020. Trade: Imports fall, exports jump:

On the opposite hand, UAE and Kingdom of Nepal that alone accounted for 40% of total steel exports from an Asian country in Gregorian calendar month 2019 saw their share fall to merely in month June 2020.

Importing countries:

Share of steel imports from Korea, Japan, FRG declined in the month of June 2020 whereas it inflated for China and France as compared to their share in the month of June 2019.
